"BALLAS" Street Families

The beginning

Ballas street families was originally known as the Californian panthers based in California in the 1970’s. They were notoriously known for dealing in hard drugs in batches to mafias such as the Al Mineo and the Bonanno family which led to its large success in California along with illegal gambling dens and extortion money. However this success did not last long as the law enforcements there began a major crackdown on gangs which forced the Ballas street families to go underground and temporarily halt there drug activity however this did not work as the FBI were still making arrests on a daily basis against senior grove members so they eventually left the city of California in 1985 and move to Los Santos, Idlewood in a street called “Ballas” which led to it being called Grove street families. Ballas street families was a small family only based in Idlewood however the majority of Idlewood was controlled by the notorious ballas gang which were groves number 1 rival gang.

1985's

Over the period of 1985 the ballas collected extortion money of grove, they had killed several members including Brian, Carlos Galaz younger brother after Brian led a driveby against the Grove gang and stopped paying all forms of extortion and drug money to the grove which led to the bloody reataliation of the Grove. MR.B had fled to Liberty city for a while plotting and planning his revenge for his younger brothers death whilst Santo stayed to control what was left of the Ballas street families. Finally he returned to Los Santos to execute his plan and take over all the territories of Los Santos from the ballas in a revenge plot. He was assisted by his brother Sean Johnson also known as John.
